hello, my husband is filing next week, I know this isn’t july. I am just wondering since he got his green card through our marriage. Will i be involved with the citizenship interview like I have for the K1 and geeen card?

From what I understood, you won’t need to be at the interview and you don’t need to file any forms. I am also marriage based green card holder, and I only filled out my own n-400 form, my husband didn’t fill out anything. But we live together and generally do everything together, so he will definitely be next to me during my interview (if they won’t allow him inside the building, he’ll be waiting in the car).

Applied online 7/31 and got notice the same day.

Got the message about biometrics reuse and that it will take approximately 7 months.

What’s your field office?

We went for our biometrics appointment today at the York, PA support office. This office is very well organized. We arrived 15min prior to our appointment and joined the line at the door. They opened the doors promptly at 8am and we completed processing within 15 minutes. They even have a play area for kids which was very helpful because we had our 2 & 5 yr old with us. Our application status is now in review as we wait for our interview appointment.

Applied on : 26th july

Biometrics reuse and notice sent : 27th july

Uscis actively reviewing case

Based on 3 years marriage, I have been in the GC holder for 5 and a half years.

Also had an absence of 7 months out of country but still kept my job and my husband was in the US, so hopefully I get approved 😉

Howdy all. I know I'm late to posting this and just now remembered. My Husband is a K-1 Filer > AOS > GC > ROC (We're still on NOA1) > Now N400. Timeline also in comment and in timeline chart.

My Husband submitted the N400 through Online July 28, 2023.

[Yesterday- Aug 3, 2023] we got a letter in the mail from USCIS NBC - it's a NOA receipt dated July 29, 2023.
NOAN400-Copy.thumb.jpg.6e70e0b853c98e8b607cde87f397541f.jpg

It also stated they are reusing the Biometrics that was last used. Yay!
I'm not sure what Field Office they are using. NBC is pretty standard from submission I think.
We're not using any lawyers as well.

It seems like our service center is NBC

When was the last time USCIS collected your biometrics? I see in most cases they’re being reused (I have a trip planned around the time I imagine I might receive a notice, so trying to have a better idea on the process)

Today (6 days after filing online) we've got letter from USCIS that our case was received and biometrics will be reused.

Exactly the same thing as showing online when login in to check the messages.

And today in the informed delivery I can see that there is another letter from USCIS. What is this second letter about?

Did you get one letter for biometrics being reused and another for receipt notice? I got 2 separate ones so maybe that's that

Our biometrics was last collected in 2018 when our GC were processed. I believe this is the reason we had to get our biometrics processed again.

The first letter we've received on Saturday stating;

"It is not necessary for you to appear at the USCIS Application Support Center ASC for the biometrics appointment. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.

Today in the second letter:

Thank you for submitting your application... etc.

Payment receipt of $725

Next Steps:

- We will schedule you for an appointment at a USCIS Application Support Center ASC for you to provide your fingerprints, photograph and or signature

- We will mail you a separate biometrics appointment notice with the specific date time and ASC locations. Please wait until you receive your appointment notice before going to the ASC.

I'm confused now. In the first letter they've said that they will reuse fingerprints but in the second letter they've said that they will send another notice to schedule the fingerprints.
