Hi guys! This will be our final check in here. Hubby took his oath today and it was a beautiful little ceremony in a library. He was able to register to vote this evening after we got back and voted for the first time in a US election. They also gave him a full American Flag provided by a local veteran's chapter. Good luck everyone! Your day will be here soon!

Final check in. My wife had her Oath Ceremony at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, AZ. It was a great ceremony made even more special by also being so close to Veteran's Day.

Thank you for all the help we have received throughout this process, especially during the long waits for any response form the USCIS, State Department, and Homeland Security. I am so grateful our journey has been fairly event-free due in large part to VisaJourney.

Thanks again, hopefully we can help others achieve the same.

This is also our final check-in. Congrats to everyone who has come this far! We officially became US Citizens on 11/14/2023. Our Oath Ceremony was at the Philadelphia Field Office. Kudos to the staff at this office. They were extremely kind and understanding throughout our process (Interviews & Oath Ceremony.) Our Oath Ceremony was honestly lackluster but we're still grateful for this part of the journey to be completed.

We registered to vote on 11/15/2023 and had our passport appointments today (11/19/2023) at our local USPS. The appointments went well and now it's the long wait for our passport. It felt a bit nerve wrecking to have to send our original Naturalization Certificates off with our passport application. We expected to send copies along but apparently we'll get the originals back.

Thank you for all the support and advice from this community.

Congratulations.  You should get the Naturalization Certificate back within a few weeks after passport is processed.

Congrats. I 100% understand how you feel. I applied for my passport October 1st through USPS. Passport came in the mail Nov. 10th. Certificate was in the mailbox exactly one week later.

I was going to put them away, but I realized I still have to go to the SSA, the bank, and the DMV to update my status.

Same thing with us. Filed N400 July 31st, interview October 3rd, oath ceremony December 2nd.

Applied for passport today 12/6.

We had oath ceremony Saturday 7:15am at Washington Field Office in Fairfax VA. Our group had 40 people from 27 countries :)

We were done by 8am with certificate in hand.

There was another group at 7:30am which they started admitting as we were leaving 8am.

From the K1 application to US citizenship 4 years and 10 months :)

Thank You VJ community for the help and suggestions over the years!

Filed back on July 16th, got an interview date notice for Aug 21st the next day (July 17th). Just did the N-400 interview and got recommended for approval. Officer waived the I-751 ROC interview with my spouse and approved it, so just waiting on oath ceremony date!

Did you take your spouse along with you at the N-400 interview and how was your i751 interview waived?
