Hi everyone,

Joined a while back but only just now getting around to active posting.

I reviewed others questions and the process from here and other sites. I submitted the forms completing them myself but I did have an immigration lawyer review the forms for me prior to my sending them.

About me:

I'm a 29 year old Tech Support Analyst. I currently work for a company that provides coaching solutions products to the NFL, NBA, MLB, and colleges.

I enjoy reading, mostly scifi/fantasy, and watching tv, same stuff I read. I also enjoy bowling and skying.

I met my fiancee when I was visiting the Philippines with some friends, her aunts and cousins. It was not expected and we had never been introduced before. Three days after we met I told her I liked her and wanted to get to know her better, we were inseperable for the rest of the trip.

About my fiancee:

She is 22 years old. The middle daughter, She has 1 older and 1 younger sister and 1 older and 2 younger brothers. She currently lives at home with her parents along with all her younger siblings. She enjoys any kinds of books, and likes Selena's music and the movie about her. She likes the beach and used to be on the swim team.

Her plan after arriving is to find a job to help support us and, thou she has not said it but seeing how family oriented filipinas are, send money home to her parents. I have been trying to get her interested in going to college.

Anyway, thats us. There are photos of us in my album if anyone is interested.

So glad I have finally started the K1 process. Got my forms out in the mail on the 27th so I made it before the increase to $455. But, I'm oh so not looking forward to hte change in the AOS costs.

Enjoy the ride. It can feel like forever at first while you're waiting, but time does move on.

Welcome to VJ!!!! I have found this place to be a lifesaver for me, I was so immigration naive when first joining. Sit back and enjoy the ride and hopefully it will move along smoothly for you. When you reach the near end of getting to be together, the anticipation and excitement is huge.

06-12-06 - Met with lawyer, filed for a K-1 visa

07-17-06 - NOA1

10-31-06 - Touched

01-29-07 - Found out from USCIS that my lawyer had filed at the wrong service center and nothing has been processed.

02-08-07 - Found out that our petition had been closed back in Oct. 2006. No one was ever notified of this from USCIS

02-09-07 - Began gathering paperwork once again to start all over. Started cancelling our wedding plans

02-20-07 - Filed for a K-1 visa once again

02-27-07 - NOA1

04-21-07 - Originally planned wedding date (had to cancel) :(

05-22-07 - Touched

06-01-07 - Granted a Congressional Inquiry!

06-15-07 - NVC received our approved I-129F petition (I never received an NOA2 via email or snail mail). We are just so HAPPY to finally move on!

06-25-07 - Packet 3 received (but it was rec'd by our lawyer, she has forwarded it on to my fiance in Australia)

06-28-07 - Fiance rec'd Packet 3

06-30-07 - Finally rec'd NOA2 via snail mail. It is dated June 25, same day as Packet 3 was rec'd.

07-05-07 - Mailed back form letter DSL-1076 (Applicant's Statement of Readiness to be Interviewed).

07-05-07 - Just waiting now in hopes of an interview date before APEC

07-13-07 - Received Packet 4

07-30-07 - Interview!!!! - APPROVED!

09-01-07 - Fiance arrives in the USA!

10-06-07 - Getting Married

10/08/2010: "Touch" & Check was Cashed

10/09/2010: NOA1 Received via mail.

10/22/2010: Status Changed Online "Request for evidence" It was for Biometrics.

10/25/2010: Request for evidence recieved "Biometrics Notice".

11/18/2010: Biometrics date ==> 11:00AM. Biometrics was taken On time.

12/03/2010: "Yellow Letter" Received.

12/06/2010: "Touch" Case Moved to "Testing and Interview".

12/08/2010: Interview Letter received via mail.

01/13/2011: Interview Date. Done, " Thanks To ALLAH, I Passed the Test.
