I'd try to book if you see available appointments. Welcome letter in most cases is what you've already done (gather all the paperwork needed for interview), book a medical (before or after the interview, depends on your country).

Since your case is ready and your processing post is Frankfurt some of the next steps are:

- do the medical

- create a profile on ustraveldocs and pay the visa fee

- email the consulate your DS-160 confirmation page

- after they confirm DS-160 and payment of the MRV fee they’ll email you that you can book an interview appointment

- gather other required documents

you can find the document with all the instructions online (just search for Frankfurt K1 instructions) or you can email the consulate and have them send the instructions, if you don’t want to wait for the physical copy (mine took about 2 weeks).

Hello everyone.

so we received the NVC case number through inquiry 1 week ago and the case is "READY", we also paid the interview fee already and just waiting to book the interview now.
however, my American fiancé still has not received the official NVC welcome letter. Is that normal? I sent them an inquiry today about that as well.

But has anymore experienced something like that?

I don't think I ever got a written letter for my mother-in-law's application.  We were DQed and about a week later they sent an email with the embassy appointment.  All of our communication with NVC has been through email and the CEAC site.

The only written letters I've received so far regarding her applications was the I-130 Received and the I-130 Approved, and they were both from USCIS.

IR process and K1 process are very different, your experience is not very relevant to the question at hand

There is no NVC welcome letter for a K1, the only communication you will receive from NVC is an email stating that the petition is in transit to the consulate.  Since you have been provided the case number and the case is in READY status then proceed.  You are inherently delaying your process by waiting for something you don't need.

We have experienced the same. Payed the fee last week and no appointment scheduling unlocks. It shows our payment #, but we keep getting the pop up that we have to wait till a notification by the embassy in order to schedule. We are worried that might never come, same as NVC welcome never came!?

How did it work out for you? Were you ever able to proceed without receiving your Welcome letter?

Hi,

Have you read the entire thread? If you are in the K1 process, you will not receive the NVC welcome letter, but an email instead notifying you of the case being send to te consulate :)

I did not get this one personally, but my US fiancé got it in his inbox.

I do not know if the next is consulate specific, but: I received the email to schedule my appointment 2 days after paying the fee AND emailed them the confirmation page of the DS-160. (Frankfurt, Germany)

Check your spamfolder too, thats where mine ended up when i got it.

You might want to look into what the consulate specific instructions are. This is also found in Packet 3, the information the consulate will send to the beneficiaries home address.
