Hi there! My fiancé and I are in the process of filling out the I-129F form and are running into some questions regarding section 50.a-f specifically.

He is an Egyptian native, but lives in Germany: As such, his address contains a German street name rather than an Arabic one, so there is no direct translation. He's done his best to phonetically translate the name of the street into Arabic, which probably isn't ideal, but there isn't really a known way to write his German address in his native alphabet.

Has anyone else encountered a similar scenario? Any advice as to whether it's acceptable to try your best to convert the name, or if we should just leave the street name in German?

Thank you in advance! 🙂

German addresses use Roman letters, so there is no need to enter his German address in that section.  Leave item# 50 blank or write "N/A".  No need to translate a German address to Arabic.
