Sorry to hear of how things have happened. how long ago did you file for the AOS? If you can reach her family, I might suggest you ask them to have her contact you. I would also tell them that you never did anything bad to her if this is indeed true. We are only hearing one side of the story, yours. Not being critical, just being honest.

I understand your pain, you do your best to get someone here because you love them and you find out that you are probably just a "bridge" to get them here. I understand how you want to hold out hope that they will return, but the reality is, If someone could leave you for multiple days, where when they were in thier country, they felt it was thier duty to communicate with you everyday or almost everyday, things just don't change like that.

Does her family live far away from where you live?

I know your pain dude, but don't wait too long. Make your move in a reasonable amount of time. Don't let it drag on.

Thanks for understanding me. I can agree 100% on your statement about how you can only see 1 side of this issue. Im not asking or telling anyone that im right she is wrong...no im not here to point fingers what so over. I dont want hate or discontent between me and my wife. Blaming and doing things like this is immature and to me should not be tolerated. I just want to protect myself and to ensure that my future if I go without her is secure and happy. I love my wife and I miss my daughter (no she is not biologically or legally mine). I just wish they would come home to me and explain what has happened or what I may have done to hurt them to make such drastic decisions on leaving me like this. This maybe something in life I may not get my answers to at all.

Im building more and more stregth everyday and feel strong about the divorce and INS part now. Its clear that without communication within 5 days that this is not going to work and they are gone for good. I just need to step up and do this asap. Im going to go to counseling this week and talk to someone about my issues. Once this session is done its time to make the call. I need to call INS and report this. I also need to find a good lawyer to dissolve this marriage and protect me from the immigration side. Wish me luck and I ask for all your prayers. I just need the moral stregth and guidance from god to help me now.

Ohh...I filed for AOS about the beggining of June. Just got the biometrics appointment re scheduled. She asked me to re schedule it for her another day. I sent the letter of to reschedule with INS. So really...the AOS process has gone no where.

I'm glad you still have the AOS part in your court.

This is not a fun time I know. I went to counseling, but it felt strange being there alone. I know you are doing it for yourself just the same. My therapist said, if she left you so soon after getting married, it's probably not worth fixing. The bond of trust has been broken.

As far as the attorney is concerned, I'm not sure if you need one. Only you can make that decision.

I did my divorce myself. I didn't even know where my wife was, she refused to tell me. I filed for divorce by publication. It cost me $160 total.... but that was in my state. $80 for the filing fee and $80 to put an ad in the paper for a month to anounce the divorce(required).... She did show up at the divorce trail and wanted $800 a month in alimony, she said I abused her, which I didn't. The judge said she was not entitled to alimony after 27 days of marriage. She later said she wanted to try to get back together again, that was a joke... I could never trust her again. I take marriage seriously, not a fleeting thought.

Im going to pay for an attorney. It smuch easier and I want the protection he has to offer to me. Who do I call to report her abandonment? Is there any special phone number I need to call? I really need to speak to an INS officer not a customer care rep. Can someone help me on what I need to do or say to report her gone to INS?

you could make and INFOPass appointment. If you call ICE, they could take a report. But really, since you have not done the AOS, you are in pretty good shape. But I would caution about her showing up one and wanting to make-up, and then days or weeks later saying that you abused her... This would be the way she could actually get a Green card without your help.

I'm sorry that this has happened to you. Do you know where her "friend" lives? I would contact her and let her know that you have no choice but to contact USCIS and tell them she has left; afterall, YOU are responsible for her. To cover your own butt, please notify USCIS and let them know she has left you.

Do you know why she left you?

My wife has been away from me for close to 2 weeks at a friends house. She has promised to come back home today but I feel she has abandoned me. I came home last night after work and everything from her room including the baby's stuff is all gone. Its like she came home, packed everything and left me. I love my wife and miss her so much....but Im worried about what happens now. I know we must get a divorce...there is no question about that. I have tried to make it work and offer her help but she wont return home to me. We just started the AOS process as well. She has not made her biometrics appt or anything. I need help please...im stressing and im going nuts. Can someone please guide me to tell me what happens on the immigration side of the world? She entered as a K1 visa with a K2. We got married everything good but this has happened. Im really scared as I dont want to be in any trouble with INS. Thanks for your help!

Why is your wife the baby's legal guardian? When people are married, both automatically have joint custody. My brother just took his wife's baby (THEIR baby) away from his wife. Without getting into a million details, some things happened and my brother now has the baby.

This is YOUR biological child, right? You have every right to that baby as she does! God, I hate women that do this. :(

Do you happen to know if she knew this Fillipino friend of hers prior to coming to the United States?

Also, what worries me, is you haven't said much about your baby...just her. The baby is innocent in all of this...and just make sure she is with whomever will be able to provide her the best care.

This is a new friend she met here in the US when she came here. I now think she is with her mom in ca. I agree on my daughter...im so worried about her and its not fair for her to be seperated from her dad. She loves me so much and knew I work so hard for our family. I just wish my wife saw the world like she did. She didnt ask for much and knew I loved her very much. Im so worried about her and im still willing to take care of her. No way will I ever stop beign a father to her. If she needs clothes I will mail it to her. If she needs food or anything...well everything is here. Her mom is the legal guardian and she needs to decide what is right for her not me. Trust me...I love my daughter very much. I havent forgotten about her 1 bit.

Someone could get into legal trouble for telling someone how to do something illegal I suppose. Or maybe be some sort of accessory to an illegal activity if they hear about someone who is in the process of commiting an illegal act and don't report it.
