Hello,

I am currently going through the CR1 process, my I-130 was approved shortly ago and we’re now waiting for the NVC welcome letter.

My question is about the birth certificate that I will have to give to the NVC. I am a dual citizen, I was born in Italy and I was naturalized in France at 18 years old. When you are naturalized in France they give you a birth certificate with all the important informations that specifies that you’re a naturalized citizen, so I have both an Italian and a French birth certificate.

Which one should I give them? Can I give both? I applied from France and my passport is French.

Where you were actually born is certainly correct.  Where does the French Birth Certificate say you were born?  Is it really a "birth certificate"?

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
