So when will the “Just Stop Oil” folks switch to “Just Stop Breathing/Farting”?  The switch is coming I suspect.

Climate alarmists prone to hyperventilating over the weather might be a part of the supposed problem they otherwise seek to remedy with statist interventions, unreliable energy alternatives, and a healthy diet of bugs, according to a new government-funded study out of Britain.

 

Scientists at the U.K. Center for Ecology and Hydrology have raised the alarm that human breathing is contributing to greenhouse gas emissions, urging "caution in the assumption that emissions from humans are negligible."

Not sure anyone is paying attention, but Germany is having a bit of a difficult time economically.

 

Germany uses the weapon of climate change against its own people

 

The drama kicked off when Germany’s coalition government led by Chancellor Olaf Scholz found itself in a bit of a bind recently. Team Scholz had quietly moved €60 billion from a Covid-19 pandemic support fund into a green energy transition fund. The opposition noticed and finked to the court – which told Team Scholz to put the cash back because the sneaky move was a blatant violation of a law that had been ushered in under former Chancellor Angela Merkel specifically in an effort to ensure that the government was never able to bury itself in debt. Whoops, too late. Subsequently finding themselves underwater on the overall annual budget by an estimated €17 billion, they set about looking for ways to plug the hole.  
 

Farmers, Team Scholz apparently figured, can at least be bilked for cash on the pretext that the government tax subsidies for the sinful diesel fuel that powers their equipment deserve to be canceled – sacrificed on the altar of climate change. It all sounds so virtuous, and not at all like scrambling to compensate for a major screwup.

This global warming has resulted in a 10 degree low temperature here last night....and about a quarter inch of global warming fell and stuck to the roads here during the night.  Believe it or not, we experienced some lake-effect global warming this morning....in Texas!!!!

I would spit on your 10 degrees, but my saliva would freeze in the -7 degree cold, which felt like -25 after factoring in the wind chill 🥶

I always like it when it is a lot colder in Denver than up here. One of the odd occasions I will watch the local news.
