The issue with solid electrolyte batteries is how they will perform given the normal vibration and shock inputs from  vehicle operations?  I would really hate to hit a pothole, and need to replace my battery because the internal structure cracked.  In order to protect the battery from these everyday inputs, I imagine it will be quite expensive.

I don't think this was a new issue dealing with hot weather.  The cooling system for the battery will certainly be a drain, let alone the HVAC system.  Probably takes longer to charge since the thermal management system will be working over time to keep the battery cool while charging.

 

On a side note, it has been very pleasant here in the Mid-west this Summer so far.  I think we turned the AC on two days so far in July.

Sounds great.  I would like to visit the U.P. sometime, of course in spring or summer.

Many high-pressure systems camped over Texas, triple digits, minimal rain, but same number of mosquitoes.
