5 years US residence but only immigrate 4years ago

Hi, I am filling out the N400 form. 
I got my green card 3 years ago through marriage, and I enter the US with a fiancée visa 4 years ago. 

In the 5 years residence in the US question I need to add that extra year before immigration?

 

Will that extra year miss lead the immigration agents since it is 1+ years being outside the US. But I didn’t have a green card or immigration process in that period of time?

If you are filing under the 3 year rule, you list based on previous 3 years...not 5 years.

When my wife filled out her N400 under the 3 year rule, she only included her residence from the date she entered on her K1.  So yes, it was only about 4 years of residence history.

Correct, under the 3 year rule, but still the form say “days outside the US in 5 years”

FWIW, my wife’s lawyer included all my wife’s address info from the day she entered as a K-1, and only international trips taken since the “residence since” date on her gc.
 

At her N-400 interview, she was questioned about travel between date of entry as a K-1 and her “resident since” date. Her lawyer shut that discussion  down, citing the law.

 

So if you are going all DIY, list all travel from date of entry as a K-1 if your total absences are under 18 months.
