Bringing additional financial information to the interview

I read an article the other day that consular officers are rejecting a lot more visas because they have discretionary power when it comes to determining if someone will be a public charge if admitted to the US. My wife's IR1 visa interview is just waiting to be scheduled (CEAC says "ready") but I'm wondering if it would help if I gave her recent paystubs to bring to the interview? I'm making significantly more money than when we were in the NVC stage six months ago. We filed with a joint sponsor just in case. I just don't want to go through all of this and have the visa denied because the consular officer thought she may become a public charge.

I would fill out an updated I864 and upload it.  CO’s are not required to look at anything brought to the interview.

I have not seen or read about outright denials for sponsors not being qualified.  All were given a chance to submit joint sponsors.

This is the article I was referring to. I guess reading a bit more in-depth, the petitioner wasn't working and her children were on government benefits. I work and have never used benefits. Maybe we'll be OK. I just want every angle covered.

I agree with @Dashinka, I would either do an updated I864 and upload it, or you can upload paystubs in the portal under other documents it may even have paystubs in the drop down box as a document description. That's the only guaranteed way the officer might actually see them.

Hi there, I uploaded CEAC, and they were not reviewed at interview, though I called traveldocs which confirmed them uploaded. I am now sorting a joint sponsor. I am quite disappointed per the matter. The CO has authority and also without information one way or other, to put case on admin processing. They stated they did not have time for my wife to locate documents. 

 

Having joint at first seems easier than updated I864, which can get lost or ignored. Seems they prefer that.

That is a pretty old article.  2019.

 

Also, the headline is very misleading.  The "skyrocketing denials" were actually refusals if you read the 8th paragraph.  The vast majority were delayed while they lined up a more qualified joint sponsor, versus being outright denied.
