 I filled in the .pdf versions of the forms in packet 3 they sent and printed them off...filled them in CORRECTLY this time, following the vj example forms and advice from rebecca etc... Wrote my covering letter and sent off all 4 forms (includes DS-156 duplicate). Just gotta wait till i get my police certificate so I can send back the checklist

I was re-reading the medical instructions again and it says "if you can't get a medical date before the interview don't worry we will look over the results when we recieve them and contact you about your case." So is there still a possible way you think I could manage to sneak them onto the same day?

Also I had one question. It goes on about evidence that the applicant won't become a public charge...now it says bank balance can be used as proof. If I got a letter from the bank that states how much we have saved (since July 05)....money is for going back, interview, medical etc etc, hotel.....will they take that into account in our favor as it is savings..?

 ty for making me understand packet 3

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

If you meet the income requirements (sponsor and/or co-sponsor), according to the Poverty Guidelines, then you don't need to worry about cash savings.

Congrats on getting the paperwork completed. You're getting close to your interview now.

Good luck.

You say you need the police record to send back with checklist???

You can send back the checklist before you get the Police Clearance just mark it as applied for that way the consulate can start processing your application as it takes them 6-8 weeks to process it and the Police Clearance only takes 40 days, you will have your Police Clearance before they hve processed your application.

Adele - the op filled out all forms online and printed them out. It is safe to go ahead and fill out these forms before packet 3 arrives to save time?

fpizza are you pretty close to getting packet 3? If so if I were you I'd fill them out now. It's something "I" should of done before too. After I messed up the ones they sent me, I had to do it anyway lol :bonk: it's quite safe....just check they're the same when u get your packet 3 ... and send them in instead of the ones they sent.... Go for it!

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

You can try and schedule the medical for the same day, for convenience sake, but it will take them a minimum of 2 days to get the results to the embassy. My fiance just hadhis medical and interview is tomorrow --so we are told the blood test will get there for Thursday.

I'm assuming they will just hold on to the passport pending those results, but will let you know more tomorrow!

Thank you for the advice robin, I emailed them April 1st to ask due to our circumstances if they could make an exception. I'm not expecting so, we're just another face in the crowd. But can do but try... I haven't had a responce from them yet :(
