Hello!

My fiancé and I decided to married while our K1 visa application was being processed. I went to visit him with a tourist visa, we got married and I'm now back to my country to keep working and so on. I know this voids the k1 application, as we're now ineligible, and we're ready to start over with the CR1 application, but I worry that this could overlap and mess up our process.

He will write a letter to the USCIS withdrawing from the k1 application anyway, so should we wait for an official response before applying to the CR1? I've seen instructions to attach the k1 withdrawal letter (and a posting number, if already sent) with the CR1 application, but I'm not sure if this still applies.

Also, should this withdrawal letter be sent to the same address we've sent the k1 application?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

He can send the withdrawal letter along with the I-130.  No need to wait.
