129F K1 Approval Receipt Notice Missed (Post Office Problems)

Hi All,

My local post office is incompetent. I'm pretty sure I may have gotten a K1 Approval notice (the status is "approved" via the website) while visiting my soon to be fiancee overseas for 10 days but I'm pretty sure they lost the notice.

In the case that the post office HAS LOST that document is there any information on the I-129F Approval Form that we need to have in order to move on to the next step of the process -- e.g. info on the DS-160, the embassy info, medical exam info, etc?

I'm going to try to get a P.O. Box so that this doesn't happen again and have USPS route all future mail to that box.

With enough time having already passed, I already sent a follow-up service request to USCIS, requesting that they send the approval, again.

But do we risk anything if I don't get that approval document in hand? Is there any info on the NOA2 that wouldn't have been on the I-797C? Thanks!

Good Day. My understanding is that you must have the original copy of your I-797 notice. if you think that your notice has gotten lost in the mail. you can easily call USCIS for another copy

Or if you have an online account with USCIS, you can requested there. But I'm sure there are others that might have more of an insight on this.
