I am sponsoring my parents to immigrate to the US. They both had their interview in Montreal earlier this year, and they wanted additional documentation from my dad, so they sent both my parents back and said to send the passports once the additional documentation is obtained. While he was working on obtaining the additional documentation requested, the consulate emailed my dad and asked for some more documents. My dad provided the additional documents requested through email. After that, they sent an email requesting him to send in his passport along with the documentation requested at the interview (this had specific steps for him to follow to use Canada post to send in the documents). He did that immediately after obtaining that documentation. Now my dad's status says "Issued", which I presume means his application has been approved, but they never sent the instructions for my mom to send in her passport.

We have been trying to get in touch with the consulate to see how we can send in my mom's passport since there is no other documentation that she needs to provide, but we haven't been able to get through. I am not really sure what to do at this point. Appreciate any advice or pointers. I wonder if we should have included mom's passport as well when we sent in dad's, but it was very specific to dad and his case number, so we didn't think that was the time to do that. Too late at this point anyways. Appreciate any help. Thank you!
