How long does the CR1 process take these days?

I'm a USC, possibly thinking of doing a CR1 for my Finnish partner (after we get married).

 

How long does the process take on average these days? From filing to having her be in the U.S with me?

As of today, it is taking around two years, so you are looking at 2025.

18-24 months.  Your case could vary.

You looking for time frame bet 18-24 months depends on your case also factoring on service center that process your case, also when uscis approve they move your case to nvc, and finally embassy where your spouse will do interview how fast they are working etc. It’s a long process but will get there as long you are patient and everything is legit

To give you a point of reference, we're currently at the NVC stage waiting for confirmation there and then interview, probably a few months out.  We applied last June 28th.  I'd guess we'll be done by the end of this year at worst.

Not that many coming to US from Finland so u will not have that extended wait time after the NVC process to wait for interview

 

IS the Finn still in the US for you to marry and AOS to stay?

I applied in March this year. At the beginning the estimated processing time was 11 months, now it has changed to 5 months. I don't know how close it is to the real time but hopefully it's a good sign
