Hello,

Has anyone had the experience of successfully receiving a K-1 Visa in Morocco for a same-sex marriage? Did anyone experience any issues? Can you tell me the process of you achieving the visa? Would there be any problems seeing the full name of your fiancé on the visa entering the US?

I don’t know of specific cases, but same-sex marriage is legal in all 50 states,  so there would not be any issues there with local religious politics, as US consulates operate under US law.

The name on the visa would need to match the name on the passport it is placed in.

Maybe others with more knowledge of Morocco can speak to this, but it might be better to look at getting married outside of Morocco or via Utah online, and pursuing a spousal visa.

K-1 visas have names of beneficiaries and petitioners.

So OP’s concern is if Moroccan immigration will release a K-1 visa holder whose K-1 visa has a petitioner with the same gender.

So Morocco has some type of outbound immigration control, like Philippines?

Totally makes sense.  Hopefully you get some more answers.   I didn’t realize that the Morocco’s government controls outbound immigration like that.

IME most countries do.

The mention of Ireland not having exit controls is contrary to my experience. Vatican is not mentioned but of course it does not have exit controls.

Morocco does:

How can you be together for 4 years and have met once?

Northern Ireland does not have exit controls, it has been a few years since I last went to Eire but they did not then.

Ahh so you have just started. Nothing beats quality time together especially when dealing with high fraud consulates.
