Haha, no, I'm just Swedish. And as a Swede, I'm prone to assume the best in people, instead of looking for nefarious motives.

Those who have been waiting for a year or more and cannot wait any longer should consider requesting a writ of mandamus to be issued by a federal judge against USCIS. It is not helpful to rant here; the federal court will decide whether the delay is unlawful. USCIS often times voluntarily renders a decision on your case before a judicial decision (3 months or so after filling at a federal court).
