Are people lying on here?! Lol

We finally filed our AOS with EAD and AP. I came on here to check how long everyone’s EAD is taking to get a guesstimate, but still refer to USCIS processing times on their site. I see people are getting approved for their EAD in a 3 months or less, some I’m seeing as a little as a month?! Are people lying on here or is USCIS skipping to the back of the line to improve their processing times?

USCIS has appeared to have shifted to a last in first out process for process for most types of petitions.

A few people seem to get them super quick and most do not.

I do not know why some get them super quick. If there is a pattern I have not seen it.

if you ask 100 people they all will have 100 different timelines for EAD. so they are not lying. cause uscis processing in a random order

I think I started seeing mentions at the beginning of the year plus of course a lot of well we filed at the same time and how come they got it quick and we did not .

As you would expect

Unless USCIS issues an RFIE, I just don't understand why some EADs are approved in 3 months and other take 8 months.  I see no logic or reason....but, apparently, there is wide disparity sometimes.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Makes sense. Seems like more of the same with USCIS.

I agree. I do wish there was an explanation, but there never is with this process.

What benefit would there be for lying?

Mine took 25 days, literally got it the day I got biometrics. I don't know why it happened, I didn't need it that fast. Took my friend a year. I also know people who filed after me and already got their greencard, but it's weird to come to a conclusion that they'd potentially be liars

USCIS is just a mess.

Remember that these are statistical - specifically the time taken for 80% of cases over the past six months.

So 20% of applicants will have longer wait times but the majority will have shorter ones. Plus as Mike has said it seams USCIS has started doing LIFO now.
