Hi I have a question about receiving interview letter. I have been DQ'd since Jan. 31st. does any body know if there is away i can track an estimated time frame for IL? I have heard people say that they have been waiting for 2 or more years. And I have also heard people saying that they made there own interview date online and some say the embassy sent them their interview date. Im confused. Should I be making my own interview date or waiting for the embassy to send me an interview date?

It all depends on the length of the queue for your country at NVC.  You can try checking the timelines for your country.  Only expedited cases at the consulate make their own interview appointments (per the process at a particular consulate).  Otherwise, NVC schedules interviews.  This is how it works:

1. Case is DQ'd by NVC.

2. Case then enters NVC queue for your consulate and waits at NVC.

3. Consulate informs NVC of available interview date for upcoming month.

4. NVC schedules interview when case reaches the front of the queue for that consulate.

5. NVC notifies person of interview date via email.

6. NVC then sends case to consulate.

After the interview is scheduled, it can take several days to several weeks for the consulate to receive the case.

By now you and he should have disclosed all his previous marriages.

Passport, NVC interview appointment notice are typical. This will vary by consulate.

Just one record for Gambia; over 400 days from I-130 approval to interview.

Why do you ask?   Is he still married to someone else as well?

There's a question about it in the DS-260 form -- "Are you coming to the US to practice polygamy?"  Did your husband answer that question truthfully?  If he is still married to someone other than you, he should have disclosed it.

My thoughts too

Is he married and u r his second wife?

my husband is Muslim

that question was not asked at interview

but if there is a previous marriage with no divorce papers,  the CO will give a 221g for official divorce court papers

and if he wants to keep married to another woman,  visa will be denied

and how did he answer that question?

Greetings!

When it comes to documents that you needed to prepare red this link:

reference: NVC Processing (state.gov) and when it comes to previous marriages even if it is not asked, just prepare all necessary documents, after all you must have those documents ready at all times. and when it comes to time of the interview, we will never know and I think it all depends upon what embassy, so my best suggestion, gather and prepare all those documents that is related to your case, esp. those that are not going to expire, and make sure that your police report will be current.

You are correct.  With regard to questions at interview, they can ask ANYTHING.  Always answer with the truth.
