I browsed so many sites looking for flight from PIT to RIX, Latvia.

Prices are soooo high right now.

Maybe someone can suggest some good site where else to look?

Or wait until September, June-August is considered peak season and always has higher fares. You can also save some money too by booking ahead a couple of months.

The flight prices I quoted were in September.

Granted, they do fluctuate alot. Keep checking OP.

Have you tried flying into KL, Malaysia and then a flight to Jakarta. Or even to Singapore then onto Jakarta.

Yes, I have many times. There are no direct US-Jakarta flights available today.

No matter how you plan, the required stopovers are:

Kuala Lumpur

Hong Kong

Taipei

Singapore

Tokyo

Kansai

Bangkok

And so forth.......

United once offered a good deal, from Chicago - Tokyo - Singapore - Jakarta. Now it is expensive.

Conversely, and like all other things China made, we can do that option for 400 less. I won't, on principle alone.

United Airlines, all the way.

Maybe through work travel, I will get enough additional miles for an upgrade. Just like days past. Although United just doubled the miles required for such. Bastards….

Flying to Jakarta is not cheap, out of all the Asian airlines that do fly to Jakarta, none of them have partners that fly to Minneapolis. So i usually end up flying NWA to LAX or SFO and then from there there are a few more choices.

Not sure about that site. Tried doing a one way ticket from BKK to here and the cheapest was Air France at just under $25,000. Yes twenty five thousand dollars. Round trip was more reasonable at just over $1000.
