Hi!

We recently got our I130 approved. For most of the time we have been waiting, the processing time showed 10.5 months for our service center (Nebraska). We had our petition approved in just over 11 months, so pretty close!

The times shown on the website had very recently jumped up too so was getting a bit worried.

Hi,

Even though I'm still waiting on my approval, my processing time skipped from 13 months (average waiting time on official website) down to 3 months (til approval) on my case. Even though I cannot tell for sure right now, I am very optimistic.

My average waiting time also changed from 10 months to 5 in a short time. Hopefully it will coincide with the real processing time:) thank you for your reply and good luck with your visa!

Nice, congrats! I can’t be sure but I feel like this could be real since it‘s like a „countdown“ so I started with 4 months a couple of weeks ago and now it says 3. If it took much longer I wouldn‘t know why they did this. I‘ll let you know in 3 months :)

That's true, let's hope for the best. Fingers crossed for your application and hoping to hear from you in 3 months with good news! :)

Hello everyone! Did the average processing time shown on the USCIS website (after you submitted I-130) match the real time in your case?

Last year, processing time Vermont was 13.5 months then went up to 14.5 months.

My petition was processed in 9 months.

USCIS processing times are weird. The time means 80% of cases are processed by the time stated.

It also appears some offices are instituting a Last In First Out policy, skewing the numbers and as a consequence people who filed first are going to wait a long time.

Hopefully, you will get your petitioned approved soon!

Thankfully, NVC is shorter now than it was a year or so ago!

Thank you for your comment and congratulations on getting your visa! How long did it take from NVC to your interview?

When we went through the process, NVC was 3 months and DQ to Interview was 2 months. You can click on my timeline to see details. I believe NVC is a lot quicker these days ^^
