I know I will get teased for this but we have soo many features that I forgot that we already had a tool to find similar timelines to yourself automatically. lol.

For example LisaD here are your similar timeline buddies:

http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profil...2&similar=1

The tool is listed on the main timeline page. What is scary is that I coded this tool myself and forgot that I did it! lol.

Maybe it's time for a vacation, Capt.? :P Let Chewy take the reigns.

Excellent tool for those in the visa phase, Captain. Is it possible to apply it to the other major events also? (AOS, EAD, AP, etc)

We have an interesting little thing happening this morning in the AOS July filer thread and the 'if you filed before the fee increase' thread'.

The 'thread manager' for the July filer thread seems concerned that his thread's purpose may be diminished if people forget to come to his thread with their data.

Maybe this wouldn't occur if members were able to get the data they need from VJ Admin. Or if they were encouraged to do so - whichever the case may be.

Personally - that means this is my OPINION - I think the XXXXXX filer threads are rather silly and a big waste of time. So ya filed in July... big deal! Seeing Bob from Vermont and his wife from England get done with it in a month means absolutely nothing to Fred from Billings Montana and his wife from Algeria. Do people REALLY think that the USCIS organizes everything nicely by which month it arrived?

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

What's going on on VJ is about people realizing that Ewok, and not them, own this site.

OMG, LisaD!!! So, you're publicly announcing that Ewok is Steve then? Some can't help but gush!

It's this kind of childishness that detracts from the site.

Actually, rather it's comments like the above that really detract from this site. Why is it that when you make a comment, no matter how you initially delivered it, it's supposed to be perceived by all as funny, whether you actually carry it off, or not? And God forbid someone dare to have a comeback, lest he or she get to hear you spew for page after page. Yet when someone else makes a funny comments, you publicly coin it ...... "childish".

Your "holier than thou" rubbish is a real turn off to me. No doubt to lots more. So, spare us, please!

I know, I know.... it's because you're privileged. Another case of "Do as I say, not as I do". Yada, yada, yada.......

That's sort of what I was saying yesterday - that it would probably be more accurate and all consuming to look at the timeline data instead of the thread. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

I'm still waiting for the 'I took my AOS to the post office on xx-xx-xxxx' threads to arise...

I mentioned this feature a few pages ago. Its quite handy - though I only seem to have one 'twin' in the AOS phase who - frankly - is really only a twin because we'll both be going out of the Memphis office. They mailed theirs in a month before me. I know that my pal fwaguy and I sent our packets in on the same day but he doesn't come up in my 'similar' timelines.

I take it that its pulling the data from the 'local office' field, Ewok?

Please keep any further personal comments out of this - take it to PM if need be.

Thanks.

No problem, mags, will do! However, it might have appeared fairer had you chosen to also intervene, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry1087821

I've actually only just logged on after having a hellish migraine (hence the minimal visitation yesterday). Intervention at the point you have mentioned would have been impossible for me - too much pain and a fuzzled brain! ;)

I'll say it, and I'm sure others are thinking it... Why didn't another Mod or Cap'n intervene earlier?

I'm not trying to stir the pot, just trying to point out that this is one of the examples we discussed in the other thread last week.

Sorry for going :ot:

Same reason they don't intervene on other threads that involve certain people...

the mods and ewok can't know exactly what is going on in every little corner of VJ unless it is pointed out...

and like I mentioned earlier they do have lives and can't be expected to monitor VJ 24 hours a day... so when things are pointed out to them it might be too late to intervene ...etc....
