Mistake in Tourist Visa

I applied for a tourist visa in order to get my fiance here for a wedding. However because of the long wait, I wasn't able to get the interview scheduled for the wedding in time (2 days off). I then applied for an emergency visa, not knowing that you're not allowed to use those for weddings. I then got 2 emails, one saying i was approved and another saying I was denied. After checking back in the website, I was able to adjust the dates to an earlier time to about  1 week before the wedding. And looking back on the site it says it's an emergency.

I'm not sure if this would hurt her chances of getting the Visa now since it's not an emergency. Should I contact someone about it?

Also If it is approved, would we still need to wait weeks after the interview to get the visa since it has an emergency status?

What country?  The fact that you are the fiance could have a great impact on the visa.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Why is this wedding so important?

The wedding itself is not that important. I mostly just want her to visit here while we wait for the K-1 to go through.

I hope you have a plan B.  Does she have a reason to return to PI after the visit?

We already applied for the K1 visa and the interview will most likely happen around the time the 6 month visit is over so I'm hoping that would convince them that she'll be returning back.

6 month visit??????????  For a wedding? That is the exact reason they will likely, imo, deny the tourist visa.  They know a lot of people just want to bypass the legal immigration queue.  Looks like she has no strong ties to PI.

Oh noo she's not visiting for the wedding. She's visiting just to be with me while we wait for the K1 to process. The wedding part is not that important.

Is the fact that she will have a K1 interview back in Manilla, not a strong enough tie back to the Philippines?

Can’t cry over spilled milk… I doubt they will issue the visa when she explains she wants to wait out the K1 process in the US… but you’ve paid for the tourist visa and she has an interview date. She can either try her luck or cancel the appointment. A denial won’t impact her K1 implication so no worries there.

So, if she does receive the visa- her only tie to the Philippines would be the need  to go to an interview so she can return to the US?
