Cannot speak as to how long will the wait be for an interview in Manila, however, the CR 1 visa would be the best and the cheapest, (given that all USCIS prices are going up and up.)  So go to the Philippines and enjoy a trip there and get married and once you arrive back in the US start your marriage visa process.

It will take two years with either visa option

Is that still the case?  Looking at the timelines, the K-1 seems to have picked up pace even when filtering for the Philippines.  We withdrew our K-1 and filed CR-1 because K-1s were no better at the time.  But, maybe things have changed post-pandemic?

But if you count time to GC K-1 may be still behind CR-1

Hi guys, OP here.

it has been a quite long journey since my initial post. I want to update our current situation and thank everyone's input.

We got married thru Utah Online in July 2023, we spend our honeymoon in PH the following month. Filed our CR1 in Dec of 2023 after i receiving my citizenship as i was a GC holder for the past 20 years. Fast forward to Sept of 2024 our case was approved from USCIS and sent to NVC

NVC DQ'd us in Dec of 2024 and currently our case sits in Manila Embassy.  We still have to schedule our interview which we are kind of confused about but I believe we are in the final stretch and the finish line can not be sooner!

We want to thank everyone for their input from my initial post!
