Moroccan Counselor Processing

Hello!
This question is specifically targeted to my fellow MOROCCAN spouses and US citizens who are undergoing the IR1/CR1 Visa Processing. What has your timeline been like and where in the stage are you at? I filed the I-130 on September 24, 2022 (09/24/2022) and got my "case is actively being reviewed by USCIS" on September 30, 2022 (09/30/2022), and since then nothing, not a peep. According to my case tracker I'm at 258 days and still going. On the processing time tab of the USCIS website it stated that I had 1 week left until approval/denial but it's been 2 weeks now without a response, it just states: "Estimated time until case decision:
Your case is taking longer than expected to process. You do not need to take any action at this time.".

I talked to a live agent yesterday and they recommend I put in an e-request of abnormal processing times of my case but when I attempted to do so it said I can't file an e-request until April 24, 2024. I know the tracker isn't always accurate but it's good to have an idea of how much longer you have to wait but now I don't even have that lifeline. I'm at wits end, I don't know what to do! 3atkounie! :( I really hope I'm not waiting another 10 months until my I-130 gets approved. I know that USCIS agents are understaffed and that more complicated cases create a bottleneck for easier simpler cases but the whole process is frustrating. I have all necessary documents, plenty of supporting evidence of a bona fide marriage, lived with my spouse in Morocco for over 6 months, travelled abroad to Turkey with them, filed taxes with his information on it, no age gap, no children, no previous marriages, affidavits from loved ones, receipts of hotels, activities, transportation, money transfers. I don't know what else to add.

Hello there,

I am so sorry your case is stuck at USCIS. Processing time at USCIS cannot be predicted at all and there is no clarity into it.

NVC processing is all up to the applicant and petitioner to provide the required documents timely, and it can go fast.

Once at NVC stage, it is always advised to provide all the supporting documents, including chat transcripts, photos and anything you think can help your case. The Consular Officers like to review things before the interview, and they might not have time to review any new evidence during the interview.

Keep in mind that all cases are different

We had our I-130 approved in 70 days, a record time, back in November 2021

NVC took a long time because processing was taking three months to review documents because of covid backlog. We got DQ in February 2022 (4 months at NVC).

My wife had her interview 17-May-2022, second interview on February 2023, and the case is still under AP, over a year after initial interview

This immigration process is denting, and it takes a lot of time, energy, and will to get through it. In some cases, it is a real test to the strength of the relationship

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

you filed in September of 2022 and it has not been a year yet in the USCIS office /expect a year before u receive a NOA2 if all documents are supplied

i looked at the profile and it says local office is Seattle  and i hope u did not put that office anywhere on your petition /local office is for AOS after an approved K1   /  if the US office thinks u r adjusting status in  the US when  the interview is actually to take place in Casa,  it will cost u over $500 to correct

The I 130 form is used for both spouse visa and AOS

our successful IR1 was 10 months in one US office and transfered to Missouri "for faster processing-a laugh) as it was another 6 months

It should be a lot faster for your petition
