Recommendations requested! My husband and I are flying up to the PNW (Seattle, Vancouver and possibly more of BC) in about a week and a half, and I would love any recommendations for local brews. I like IPAs, but he generally does not, preferring stouts, lagers and bitters.

I do not have first hand experience with either the PNW or Vancouver, but my suggestion would be to find a beer/wine store and look for something local (this is what I do when traveling).  IPAs tend to be popular everywhere, and you can usually find a good lager or stout brewed locally.

This sounds like a good idea.  If uncertain, one can ask an employee or manager what's popular, or even consult a knowledgeable-seeming customer.

Seattle, we are in you and we are buying your cider (and alcoholic ginger beer):

 

I had the Harvest on the right - apples, pears, vanilla and cinnamon, that's it. AMAZING - light and crisp, not too much cinnamon. He had the ginger beer and it was snappy and very, VERY gingery. Saving the other two for tonight.
