California homeless found living in furnished caves 20 feet below street level

Homeless people in California were found living in caves along the Tuolumne River before they were cleared out by the Modesto Police Department and volunteers over the weekend.

Volunteers with Operation 9-2-99 and the Tuolumne River Trust worked with police to clear them out, removing some 7,600 pounds of garbage from the area, authorities said.  [...]

California Passes Law Requiring People Fail A U.S. Civics Exam To Be Eligible To Vote

 

SACRAMENTO, CA — Taking yet another step toward progress in voting rights, legislators in the state of California passed a law requiring that people fail a U.S. civics exam in order to be eligible to vote in elections.

Newsom Tells CA Lawmakers He'll Force Special Session If They Don't Pass His Bill to Increase Gas Prices

 

Grasping for relevance, California Gov. Gavin Newsom is in the midst of a bit of a temper tantrum this week with the legislature - threatening to convene a special session if they don't pass his proposal to further regulate California's oil and gas industry.  Industry analysts say that the proposal, which would force refineries to "maintain a minimum fuel reserve to avoid supply shortages," would lead to increased prices for drivers in California, Arizona, and Nevada.

UPDATE:  They Just Can't Do It - California Has No Money to Subsidize Illegal Immigrant Home Purchases

 

On Monday, I reported that California was planning another huge giveaway, and it's a doozy; the California Legislature, which I remind you is controlled by a Democrat super-majority, meaning that they can effectively do whatever they please, was in the process of passing a bill that would have given up to $150,000 to first-time home buyers — but only if they were illegal aliens.
