Hello house, 

Friday this week will make us 2 weeks here in the US. My husband only paid for the Green Card when we arrived. Is there any other thing we are expected to do or just wait till card arrived. 

 

Secondly, when do we expect to receive our Social Security Cards. The Immigration officer only stamped our visa on the passports, we weren't ask of any thing other than stamped  on the visa.

 

Please help.

recent report said gc can be up to 3 months receive in hand. just wait

 

the stamp on passport usually is adit stamp ( i-551) that's valid for 1 year. adit stamp is equal green card (status)

 

you can go to SSA office and request one if u like : https://secure.ssa.gov/poms.nsf/lnx/0110211025 with that adit / i-551 stamp
