Hi all!

I feel like I know the answer to this, but how necessary is having the original I-864 with you at the interview? Can I bring the copy that was scanned instead?

Thanks!

Hi everyone! I just joined, but have been following this chat for awhile now and it's been helpful.

We are waiting on my husband's IR-1 visa and my 4 children's visas (all filed at the same time) They were all DQ on March 23 2023, and we have not yet received an IL.

As of July 11th, US Consular Operations Updates page was updated to say that "most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in May 2023". That makes me very worried since we were in March! I also see on here that most of the recent ones to post on here were DQ in April.

The website says that they are "scheduled on a first in, first out basis", and that clearly isn't happening. Has our case been missed?

I guess I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Is there anything at all that we can do?? There's no longer any way to call the NVC. I have submitted a message via the online Inquiry Form.

#1  Make sure you know that you are documentarily qualified.  Did you receive an email confirming that you were DQ?

Yes, we received an email confirming DQ for each person on March 23.  I have checked their CEAC accounts over and over to make sure nothing is missing, and everything is approved.

Did you check to see your CEAC account shows that it's still with NVC or if it now says Montreal?

Does anyone have a rough idea on how quickly folks are receiving their passports via courier service from Montreal after the interview?

I’ve seen 5-10 business days but also some people getting it in 2-3 days.

It's been looking like 2-3 days for the paid expedited courier. I'm hoping it's like that after my interview haha.

Hi everyone! My interview is this Friday and I’m super nervous lol! I already printed all the documents I think I need but was wondering if anyone has a checklist they could share?
