Thanks for all your replies everyone! I’m starting to believe they’re not scheduling interviews for December 😔

Wondering the same. Christmas #2 without wife or baby. This process is so heartbreaking.

Wouldn’t they still schedule appts this month but just make appts for Jan if they are shut down for December? Does that mean everything is now paused until after Christmas?

God I hope not. My husband is already mentally struggling, and really despondent at this point. I don't want to have to tell him he is going to be in a #######-shoot for another three months minimum...

I’m thinking the same thing, but I guess they don’t feel the need to send out ILs this month if they can’t schedule until January 🤷🏻‍♀️

I understand everyone getting to enjoy the holiday, but this is ridiculous - we want to spend the holidays with our families, too. Those at the consulate don't get to claim the whole daggone month to themselves.

I know…I have been DQ’ed since mid-June and still no interview. I’m not trying to make excuses for the people at the consulate responsible for scheduling these interviews, but it seems like the holidays coming up is the logical explanation. I have seen in Reddit that scheduling slows down during the Fall months and MTL consulate is difficult to deal with.

Agreed. Hopefully they make an update to the website next week so we don’t have to guess at what’s going on, it’s so frustrating.

Don't forget that not everyone is on VJ and it is possible some who are on VJ just hasn't reported the IL. December does tend to have a smaller amount of interviews. Hopefully that is all that is going on.

We were DQ'd July 25th. At first, after looking around on here and reddit, I was hoping that we would have received an IL by now. Doesn't seem that way now though. I am beginning to think that hubby will not have his interview until January. It is so hard for both of us, him living in Canada without his family, me and the kids here in NY. I check my emails and the consulate website way too frequently. I have this sinking feeling in my gut that once the ILs do go out, we will not be apart of that group, and will have to wait until 2024. Our second Christmas apart .... it is nice to have a community of people that understands. I told hubby this feels like the end of pregnancy, when you know it will eventually end, but it drags on forever and you have no control over when it happens and everyone asks you if the interview has been scheduled or if it has happened already and I am like - uh if it was scheduled or if it happened you would know, please stop asking! Anyway, rant over. Thanks for "listening".

We are in the same boat - hubby in Canada, daughter and I in NY. This will be our fifth Christmas apart, third since our marriage and second since sending in our I-130. It's frustrating for sure.
