That’s what I thought too! Now I’m going to be checking my email in the middle of the night tonight.

My husband obsessively checks his - every time his phone dings, he's holding his breath and checking. Crossing fingers for everyone!!

Someone on this forum DQd Aug 1st and got an October IL - technically early August was the last cutoff, which is why the website says that.

I DQd Aug 3rd and Im not getting my hopes up for an early letter sadly

You should get one in the next round though.  I’m aiming/hoping for around Nov 15 for the next batch of ILs.  I’m DQ Aug 23 though, so I’m kind of on the edge there. I really hope I’m not still in the dark in Dec, I might lose it by then.

Same here - for my husband's sanity, we need an answer soon because he's losing hope.

I was DQ'ed August 18th. Just noticed the consular website posted a new update :

As of November 3, 2023, most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in August 2023.

This gives me high hope it will happen this month! Keeping my fingers and toes crossed!

I thought ILs didn't go out til the 2nd or 3rd Wednesday. I wouldn't complain if I got one right this second lol But we were DQd in September. Hopefully we will be in this batch!

Interviews went out VERY late in Oct.  I would not anticipate any interview letters for some time yet.  Also, Thanksgiving in the US is on Nov. 23, so there's a good chance the Consulate will be closed that Thursday and Friday.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but just trying to keep you from having a heart attack in anticipation for something that isn't likely to come for at least another 10 days.

Someone mentioned that the reason they went out so late in October was due to a bunch of employment visas that would have been released start of October that they had to schedule, so maybe if that’s true we can hope they we will back to scheduling the immediate family immigrant visa appts the third week of the month.  And hopefully before American thanksgiving for this month.  Fingers crossed!

Oh, at this point, I don't even bother checking anything anymore. I look at my email morning and night, and I'm just waiting. Hubby has resigned himself to the fact that he will still be in Canada until January at best, or even February, and is looking for another job. He was hoping to make it through just doing Uber, but it's not working, so he is going back to finding hourly work.

I hope he can at least find some seasonal work.  Separation sucks.  Immigration timelines suck. There is no question about that.

Same, my wife is going back to work after her maternity leave and had to move to a new apartment last week to be closer to work. We were of course hoping that we'd have news by now and not have to go back to work until she came to the states. Now have to arrange day care for our daughter. Lots of extra stress added to the equation on top of not being together for holidays again this year.

Well, husband went to a temp agency yesterday and starts a new job on Monday at 12am - working 12a-8:30a in a manufacturing plant. It will at least get him through the next couple months, until he can be here.
