Hey all! I tried searching for this but couldn't find anything. I have on my IL letter that my interview is Sept 18th at 7:45, however I just got an email this morning from us-visa-info email address showing my courrier information that I set up, and that my consular interview date is September 18th but at 10:45 instead. I'm kind of confused if this is wrong or just updated. I dont want to show up at 10:45 if my appointment was supposed to be 7:45. Has anyone encountered this?

@HaeZee do you mind sharing which hotel you stayed at please. Looking for options close by.

Do they send one batch of interview letters out per month? I thought I read somewhere that they all go out on the 3rd week of the month, but I can’t remember if that’s accurate.

Yes, only once a month. The interview letter should be due next week or the week after based on previous trends.

yes for MTL based on feedback from other members

Ok cool thank you.  If I was DQ’ed on August 23rd would it be realistic to expect my IL around 3rd week of November?  The website says they are scheduling 2 months out from DQ dates so that’s what I was estimating for best case scenario.

I went to MTL for my medical and stayed at a hotel close by called Hotel Birks because it was a 3 minute walk to the Drs, but also because I was traveling to a city I'd never been before and wanted to make sure I was somewhere safe.  If you decide to stay in this hotel or any other hotels in the area, check travelocity first!  I got a really, really good deal on airfare from Winnipeg to MTL plus 2 nights in this hotel for next to nothing.  When I go to the Embassy I will be staying at St-Martin Hotel Particulier, same sort of situation with checking Travelocity, nice hotel and got a good price.

Side note also, if you're flying in.. I had a friend tell me that Ubers can cost onwards of $60, Cabs are $40 but there's a bus from the airport that goes straight downtown 24/7. I bought a 3 day Unlimited pass and it was I think $22. The bus goes from downtown to the airport and takes about the same amount of time that a cab/Uber would anyways!

Hello everyone, my wife is waiting on her visa interview for October 30th, but we are obviously starting to plan out possible move times. What's been the wait time for getting your passport and visa back in the mail after the interview? Wanted to be sure we give enough leeway before the move date to get her documents back. Currently, we are looking to move November 22nd. Thats only about 3 weeks after the interview, so i wasn't sure if that was too tight of a window to get the passport back. (Assuming everything goes fine with the interview lol)

I paid for the expedited courier - interview was Tuesday morning and had my visa in hand Thursday afternoon.

Barring no issues, that should be fine.  We basically did the same.
