God works in mysterious ways and prayer is powerful. You have not misled anyone, you just expressed what you were told.

I will continue to pray for your Father-in-Law.

We are running on information overload, too much information that is constantly changing, the only “” truth we have is that without the operation he will definitely pass over due to infection, and there is no guarantee that he can survive the operation because of a weak heart and fluid in his lungs, God willing he survives the operation and everything goes well he must go on dialysis for a period of time and have breathing treatments. The operation is now scheduled for noon today Kansas time.

Once everything is done today and all goes well the operation will have to heal completely before any attempt to replace the hip replacement they are removing.

The saddest tear jerking part of all of this is his 96 year-old wife of 67+ years is 300+ miles away and they haven’t seen each other in 3 weeks and all he wants is to go home and be with her.

I am sorry to be crying on your shoulders, but posting here makes everything a bit easier to handle.

Thank you everyone.

Thank God for giving us another day with Sharon's father and everyone else here for the support, prayers and kindness shown to us. The operation went well and lasted about 3 hours and it is over with. The doctor said that the biggest fears were that his heart would give out and or his kidney's would fail, neither of which happened. As for the removal of the hip inplant that is done and will not be replaced in the very near future. The doctor said that if everything continues going well he would be released next week and returned to his hometown hospital to monitor and work to better his heart and to see what can be done regarding the kidneys.

Sharon is off to the hotel for a well deserved and long needed rest.

Thank you all for going through this mess of conflicting information with us, God bless you all.

Sharon’s Father, She has been told today could pass away at any time and will not see the weekend that is coming up. This is a very hard time for her since she is alone and carrying the full weight of everything with support I can only give her from so far away. Yesterday he (Sharon’s father) asked her if he had missed our wedding and she broke down as I would have myself. He has been in and out of reality for the past 7 weeks and in the hospital all that time. His wife who has been suffering from dementia keeps asking where I am and if Sharon is sure that I am not there. She has been to the hospital to visit Sharon’s father her husband of over 65 years, but now Sharon is having her father moved back to the nursing home with the doctor being in agreement that it is best that her parents be together during these last hours or days.

Thanks to everyone for the support and prayers they were not for naught as they were welcome and very supportive in a time of need.

I am sorry that the sad time has come and applaud Sharon for ensuring her mother and father are together at this time. My prayers are with all of you at this time.

Thank you Kathryn, here is a something I post in MTL timelines in the Canada Forum.

I just got back from the airport here to see if I can get a visa waiver from CBP to go to Kansas on a very urgent matter, the bad news is I had to wait 30 minutes for a reply with tears in my eyes because I was sure of a denial from there also since that is the way life has been going for us over the past few months. The good news is that after a discussion with the CBP port manager the waiver will be granted and I am now crying for a totally different reason, this is almost as good as getting the visa in Montreal would have been. now I will be able to support Sharon as she should have been all along. All that I need for the waiver is my passport, return ticket and a letter from her father's doctor explaining the state her father is in and his time remaining with us

Thank you all, this has been a very numbing period in our lives, we were hoping for better but will take what we are given. This is his time to return home, I just wish it were easier on him at this point.
