After my interview I got 221g paper and they asked me to submit required document soon.so I did it soon. After one month later my ceac status changed to "ready" from refused.  Again date updated twice but status still showing ready. What does it mean? I'm from srilanka, Colombo

It means you’re in administrative processing. No way to predict how long that’ll take, can take days, weeks or months

Ohoo. I forgot to bring my original birth certificate that's why they gave me 221g  :(  I was waiting since April 11th. They kept my passport and other documents

My wife is waiting since May 17, 2022.

We are still waiting, and the status shows Ready. They (Casablanca) kept my wife's passport since the first interview 17-May-2022 (more than a year now).

My wife was issued a white 221(g) form

ALL CASES ARE DIFFERENT

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box

They stopped responding after a couple of emails

They called my wife for a second interview on 21-Feb-2023 for a second interview and still no meaningful update

Our only contact with them now is the congressional inquiries, they always respond as the case is still undergoing administrative processing

  • all cases are (now) refused till the decision is made to approve or deny
  • it's  just the way they decided to make us sweat more

Do I need to schedule another interview? During my interview they asked me to provide English translated marriage certificate.  I forgot it so they asked me to submit it Asap and gave me yellow colour 221g. I submitted required document and after few weeks status changed to ready 😕

Yes, don't confuse "refused" with "denied".  "Refused" is the status that used to be Administrative Processing, now they use AP to show they are actively doing something, and refused for when they are waiting for something, or something like that.

Good Luck!
