Thank you for the information. We will go there on Tuesday. Do you think fixing this will be easy at the office?

Hopefully.  Good luck.  By the way, this happens from time to time.  It's good that you caught the CBP mistake.

It looks like they don't stamp it anymore:

How do I check my I-94 record online?

This refers to a visitor not one arriving on an immigrant visa

WOWWW! We're in Maryland, are you sure we needed to get it stamp? She asked several times from the immigration officer and they said they do not stamp any more.

Yes she needs it. The actual GC may be months coming.

She will get the GC if the fee is paid. 60 days isnt guaranteed. Mine was 7 months. Without the stamp on her IV visa she has no documentation of her LPR status until the GC arrives.  No drivers license, no bank account,  unable ti complete the documentation to be verified  to work.

Its an inconvenience yes. Its not your mistake. But it is your problem. Drive to Baltimore

Ok will do, thanks.

One more question, is there a way to track the green card status? whether it's in processing or already mailed etc?

On her uscis account.  Using the IOE receipt number

Sorry, bit confused.

I'm the petitioner and I have a USCIS account. Do I use my account to track it OR should I create a brand new account for her?

See if you can add her receipt number. If you cant then she will need to set one up

I paid my wife and stepdaughters immigrant fees from my USCIS account and then never could get the green card creation case number added to either my account or accounts created for them.  But I was still able to track the green cards on the regular USCIS case status site with the new IOE numbers from the "Pay.gov Payment Confirmation: USCIS Immigrant Fee" e-mail.  (NOT the same IOE case numbers from the I130)

My stepson arrived on an immigrant visa back in November, and his card showed up in the mailbox in 45 days. Officer at POE advised to call if you don't receive it in 90 days, but arrived in about 6 weeks.

she said looks like some retraining is in order.

Thanks for the verification.  Looks like, as a rule, they aren't stamping visitor passports, but that is a whole different animal compared to an immigrant visa.

Correct, most of the time they stamp all of them, but if busy I could see them skipping visitor visas. I will ask when I talk to her next.

I just did a calculation according and based on that it's about $10,600 worth of jewelry. So at 6.3 percent, my wife has to pay $668.80 dollars on her own personal jewelry?!?!? Wow.

She only has $300 cash on her and her debit card might not work. Is there a way I can pay it?

What happened regarding the jewelry?  Did she have to pay a tax?  I know she entered the US yesterday....
