NVC Status "Ready" - Interview Next Steps

Hello,

I filed an I-129 K1 visa for my fiance in Morocco. We had our NOA2 approved in March and it was moved to the consulate in Casablanca last week.
We saw that the NVC case status was changed to "ready" today and I was wondering how we will be alerted or when we can schedule our interview.

We submitted our DS-160 today, but I was wondering if I should pay the fee now to schedule an interview, or if we will be contacted about the interview by email before we need to pay.

Any insight is appreciated.

I think you can check your country's embassy website and call them to confirm. I called my embassy and they said people will get an email with instructions for the interview when their case is ready.
