also my mum got her approval on 2 may but dad is still no approved. dont know why its taking long for him. applied for both on same day 22 april 2023. has anyone had anything like this.

Your Dad should be approved this week or next week, unless they request for new evidence. Congratulations in advance

Has your dad and mom ever had visitor's visa ? Did they ever travelled US before you filed their i130?

no they do not have US visa and they never have visited the country. if all goes good this will be their first time entering the country.

We are curious how long it takes people to file at the NVC stage ( IV application and DS-260)

 

if you are using a lawyer, how long did it take them or are they still working on it?

 

if you are completing the forms yourself how long did it take you?

i have started filling in the forms for my parents once i130 approved. i am taking time so that i don't make any mistakes.

 

i need help guys, my dad worked in Yemen for a construction company for almost 20 to 25 years and other Gulf countries. he is in India since 2015. i am not sure if i should add that as his work experience or not. i don't want to get tangled in getting his police clearance for all that. also he got his passport done in 2019 as his previous one expired.

 

i am a little confused for all his information. does NVC check all his past history or just last 10 years.

 

anyone able to please help. thanks in advance.

That solely depends on the person's country. It depends even the country has backlog or not. Which country is the beneficiary from?
