What does this exactly mean "

"Checklist of Required Initial Evidence (for informational purposes only)

Please do not submit this checklist with your Form I-129F. It is an optional tool to use as you prepare your form, but does not replace statutory, regulatory, and form instruction requirements."

This is from the USCIS website for K1 Visa filling. Does it mean we only have to sent form I-129F and primary documents e.g Birth certificate of the Petitioner? We're about to send our application but it's just a bit confusing as we want to send the documentation of our relationship and my fiancé's trip to my country. I hope someone can help. Thank you

It means you are to use the checklist to

prepare the paperwork and documents .. but that you make sure

1. you complete forms in line with the instructions for each form

2. you provide all requested documents as indicated by both the provided checklist AND the forms/instructions

3. you do not send the checklist paper as part of the packet .. don't use it as a cover sheet or contents list

The evidence/documents you describe fall under the categories of demonstrating you have met face to face, and that you have a legitimate relationship… as outlined on the I129f instructions. They form part of your application   The first section of the checklist .. headed “ Did you provide the following” is for ALL petitioners filing this form The section of this “ checklist” that applies specifically to K1 applicants also list the requirement to state your intention to marry within 90 days of entering  the US   and evidence that you have met face v to face v within N the prev 2 years

Reread the USCIS page again with these things in mind .. hopefully it will make more sense

There is a link towards the top of the same page directing you to the pdf instructions. If you haven’t done so already, print off this and read and highlight the sections and documents needed. The checklist is really just a summary of part of the instructions.

Thank you so much! That made so much sense now. I appreciate the insight.
