I received my passport with the visa sticker in the mail today, and I noticed that there's a typo in my fiancee's (the petitioner's) last name. I didn't notice it at first... :innocent: I emailed the consulate and asked what I should do. What do you think? Will I have to send it in to get it corrected, or is it not that big of a deal?

02/04/2008: Received permanent resident card (approved 01/30/2008)

Congratulations TomTom..

I'd see if you could get it corrected by Frankfurt.

Was the name misspelled on the forms sent in (Petition, Packet 3 forms, etc)? or just on the visa?

It was definitely not misspelled on the petition and also not on the affidavit forms. I don't know the other forms because unfortunately I don't have the copies anymore, but I doubt I misspelled it because I checked them like 5 times before I sent them. It looks like it's only a typo on the visa sticker.

Thats good... I'd see what Frankfurt has to say - maybe it's a no-big-deal kind of thing. (I'll have to check Karin's passport - wonder if they got my name right... lol )
