after submitting the packet 3 form DS-230.the automated message said some information is missing and they're sending a letter to let me know what's missing so I called and talked to an operator and he told me that the passport copy I sent didn't have the exepiration date in it,well I read in the instruction to send just the biographic date page wich it has the name and date, place of birth. and unlike the american passports that have the expiration date under the picture of the passport's owner the Moroccan passports have the experation date on a seperated page.

anyway the operator told me I can scan and send the copy of the passport to the NVC email and I won't have to wait for the letter to come from them.I'm just wondering if anybody has have tried something like this and if it worked ?:wacko::blink:

I haven't had to do that but why don't you try scanning it and sending it to them before you get the letter from the NVC. If it works, then you saved yourself some precious time. If it doesn't work, then you can still send a copy with the letter they said they sent you.

If NVC told you that you can scan and email them, then please do it as soon as possible (if you have not done it yet).

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy
