Hello, there:

I have a question regarding my mother's visiting in US.

Back to few years ago while I was a conditional green card holder, my mother went to the US embassy with B visa and got declined. It seems the reason they gave was I was in the processing of waitting for my 10 years green card. (PS: My status used to be F-1 visa and then got married with my husband who's an US citizen)

Later on, my mother went again, but was declined again without giving specific reasons.

Last year, with invitation letter from my school to invite my parents attending my graduation ceremony, both my parents got declined again.

And this month, I finally got approved with my 10 yrs green card and hope my mother to visit me this coming January.

I was wondering if anyone possibly knows the reason she was declined several times, is that really because of my conditional green card during that time?

Thanks a lot.

(PS: My parents didnt intend to stay in US at all, since they have jobs back to home, they applies only for 2 weeks visiting, seems just can not get visa approved, anyone has any idea or suggestions?)

Since you don't say what country you are from, it's a little hard to say.

It would have nothing to do with being a CGC.

It would most likely be that she could not show strong enough ties to her home country.

With 5 declinatures, unless there has been a major change in her circumstances, probably best to visit her rather than waste the time and money of another application.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I agree :( 5 times is way too many, the Consulate will probably keep denying her B-visa application just out of habit now.

Filed AOS from F-1
Green Card approved on 01/04/07
Conditions removed 01/29/09

Citizenship Oath 08/23/12
