No.

Generally, no but it could depend on the reason for the denial. It's theoretically possible the underlying reason could impact any visa application. Why was she denied a work visa?

My fiance is a merchandiser for a Shanghai clothing firm. She was invited here by a SF company to view their warehouse.

When she went to the interview, the visa officer said she needed to prove that she will return to China. At the time, she was 23, and single (we werent fiance/fiancee) then.

The visa officer said she was too young to travel abroad, alone, fearing that she was going to get married and not come back.

Your advice is appreciated.

That is not a problem for the K1. It happens frequently to young single women in China and many other countries. Be ready to document the reason for the initial application.

I am in a similar situation- my fiance was denied for a B1 last August & the consulate said it was because he didn't have enough evidence that he was returning home to Ireland. From what I understand, as long as you have enough evidence that you have a real relationship you should be fine. I think the only concern it would raise is about the marriage being a fraud.

I hope I'm right...

Good Luck & let me know if you find out otherwise!

AOS
