My wife received her green card in the mail today. Her son will get his next week. Yes, we are very happy. As you can see from our timeline, it has been roughly 1½ years since I first mailed the I-129F, though we could have filed for AOS sooner and gotten approved sooner. Looking back, it seems like yesterday when we met and began talking of marriage and the fiancee visa. But during the visa process, time seemed to move so slow. Like everyone, we worried, and paced the floors, and checked the websites for status updates and forums for support and advice. During those times, we use to talk about our hopes and dreams. We often reminded each other that prayer and patience would help us through those lonely times apart from each other. Now our hopes and dreams have become plans and goals. Our love and our lives together is great. The future each of us use to have has now become OUR future together. We have had our disagreements and misunderstandings and our little fights. But we both know that just because we are mad, does not mean we love less. We are different in many ways yet it is our differences that keep us so happy and so much in love. Together, we have completed a long ardorous journey. Without lawyers, without RFE's, without delays or problems of any kind; and only with the help of this site, we have conquered. Thank you VJ. May God bless you all.

Thank you. I considered it, but the purpose of this post was inspiration for those beginning their visa journey; not a status update.
