When you all say "Updated to In Transit," was this based on an inquiry? Or did they send an email?

NVC tracker states this, you can check once u get a case number from the NVC.

CEAC (state.gov)

Mine was shipped out today as well!

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

I was not in fact provided an interview date.... I plan to pre-fill out the DS-160 so I'll be ready to submit when the embassy reaches out.

Our case says 'Ready' 🙂

Amazing!  Fingers crossed for an appointment that isn't too far out!  Based on what I'm seeing for the DR it looks like we'll be lucky to get a November appointment once ours sends which is why I was REALLY hoping it would have gone this week!

Yesterday, I emailed NVC Research with our case number and attached the NOA2, I received a response today that the case was received. I emailed NVC Research after sending 2 inquiries to NVCinquiry. I hope this helps a little.

I sent the fourth inquiry on 08/13. I got a response today with the case number but no invoice ID. Do I need that? And what are the next steps? Thank you in advance!

NOA1: 06/13/22

NOA2 : 06/23/23

NVC Received: 08/10

NVC Case #: 08/17

Don’t really need it. Just check the case number until it says Ready in status. And then it is up to the process with your embassy

Where do you guys find estimated interview wait times?

I just sent a third inquiry asking if I had indeed been given a case number.

I have VJ set so that they email me when someone with a similar case to ours edits their timeline and then I've popped over to their profile to see what their dates are.  I've interacted with a few of them directly on their profiles to ask a few questions, including when they were able to schedule.  You can get some general wait times at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html but they don't typically include the K categories.

We got our case number yesterday! Called to book the medical (way in advance, don't worry) this morning. I believe the case number came about 52 days after NOA2, which is better than we were expecting.
