Actively Reviewed means sitting in a pile somewhere.

Date changes could mean anything, often referred to on here as being touched.

Howdy y'all,

So I just received an update, nothing major... But the case status "actively being reviewed" date changed from Feb 6th to June 15 (yesterday). Does that mean anything at all?

Means nothing.

I-751 pending at VSC since November 2021. Status still says case received. Filed N400 in December 2022 and that is also stuck at actively being reviewed ( meaning thrown in the corner somewhere). It's just frustrating when I-751s filed in Feb 2023 are getting approved and so are N400s. I might consider a lawsuit once I become a citizen on the grounds of violating my right to pursuit of happiness. These idiots needs to be answerable. Maybe just fire them all and replace them with chat GPT.

Because you cant argu that an N400 is delayed. You can only argue for ROC. If you combine both, it just makes the argument more complex. If an ROC is what is causing the delay, why then include N400 ( assuming the examination has not taken place). Just my understanding!

I appreciate your reasoning here, @Imperium--i think one assumption that I am wrestling with here is the one whether it's the i751 that actively delays the adjudication of n400 (I e. Is the regional service center the culprit) or whether it's the local field office that is in charge of the n400 that is not pulling its weight. In my case, the n400 has been pending for almost 17 months (way above the processing times for my field office) and i751 for almost 29 months...my intuition is to argue that both are unreasonably delayed, although I am hesitant if I should identify the regional center/local field office as my jurisdiction. My guess is that both. Would love to pick your brain on this

Just chiming in here 4 months after submitting my N-400. 6 weeks after filing, my I-751 was moved to a different office (NBC) for "faster" processing. My I-751 was submitted in March 2021, unfortunately to the Potomac Service Center.

Now, my I-751, if still at Potomac, should have been approved this month, and I am noticing that a lot of March 2021 applications are currently getting approved. Mine is still stuck at "transferred to another office". Average wait time to be scheduled for an interview at my local field office, going by what I'm seeing, is around 8 or so months. So, at this point, I feel like I'll likely be waiting another 4 or so months for literally anything else to happen. It's incredibly frustrating.

The advice I'd give to people here is to apply for N-400 as soon as you are able to, and not closer to when your I-751 priority date becomes current. Filing as soon as eligible will likely make things go faster than if you had not submitted the N-400, but, in my case, it seems like it has definitely slowed everything down when it comes to the I-751.

@Family suggested we send a letter to request a combo interview.

This is a letter I uploaded with wife's N-400 application.  Did it help?  I'm not sure.  Did it hurt?  , No. Absolutely Not!!  Did we get a combo interview?  Yes.

Dear USCIS Officer

Please consider this letter as an official request for a combination I-751/N-400 interview or waiver of the I-751 interview.  We submitted my joint I-751 petition in March of 2019.  My biometrics was completed in May of 2019.  The status of my I-751, case number MSC1XXXXXXXXX has been “Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview” since May 2019. I have received no RFEs or requests of any kind.

Sincerely,

@stephbd I believe mine will not be a combo interview, since my 751 got approved recently (yet my husband is still coming to the interview with me, since I’m applying under the three- year rule)
