ACRO Turnaround While Website is Offline

Hello,

This question is specifically for people who have applied for police certificates since April when the ACRO website was hacked and the application process was moved to email. 

Can people please respond with the amount of time it took to get the certificate in hand?

It currently says 15 working days, but I have been hearing anecdotally it can be even longer. I am looking to find what the average has been recently. We have just submitted ours and our application is hinging on it going smoothly so suffice to say- I am curious!

Hi there, mine took about a month. Not sure if it is because there were THREE bank holidays in May, but I applied around 25 April and got it around 25th May. I’ve heard you can contact them via email  customer.services@acro.police.uk

 

if it is urgent , but I’ve never tried this. Good luck

Mine took 14 days

We did our Acro while the site has been offline —Submitted May 9, received the certificate on May 24. 
 

edit: just to give details on my husband’s background, as I’m sure that factors in on speed of completion: he has no criminal history, has only lived in England, and served in the military

Mine was sent off on the 28th of April, I received it on the 26th of May. I was told over the phone to expect 15 working days, so three weeks. I think the bank holidays probably affected the time mine took. Hopefully yours is quicker!
