Weirdest thing happened to me today. I paid both fees and uploaded everything. Received an an email that a civil document was missing. Logged in to upload it and now IV Fee says "Pay Now". Went into Fees and it says NOT PAID. SO weird. I was under impression that you cannot move forward unless AOS and IV fees are paid. Hoping it's a fluke? My bank said it has been posted. And of course, if you email ASk.NVC they are reviewing the inquiries from two weeks ago. Anyone had an experience like that? Thanks guys

I just wanted to post here for anyone that may scroll through in the future - FINALLY, my dad was approved today. Been stressing a lot/praying/felt like something was off because it felt like almost everyone else in June had been approved and his case was just sitting there.

PD: June 27, 2023

Approval: October 30, 2024

Got a text and an email that action was taken on the case, the status still says actively being reviewed BUT the date changed from what it sat at (August 2023) to October 30, 2024 and the I-130 Approval notice was also sitting in the Documents tab.

My mom was approved back in August, and is currently waiting for the Montreal Consulate to schedule/send us her interview date. I delayed submitting her docs to NVC for awhile because I was hoping my dad's approval was around the corner. But now I am happy I did because hopefully I can ask the consulate to expedite his interview date in the future to line up with whatever appointment they end up giving her (seems Montreal takes a couple months to even schedule interviews - she was just DQ'd a couple weeks ago).

petition got approved; however I am planning to start processing the NVC part by April of next year due to some financial circumstances - is that ok ? I cannot find any info as to if there's any deadline as I don't want this petition to get terminated...

I think I read somewhere that you have to respond within one year so you should be good.
