Hi all,

Has anyone who has been classified as "Document Qualified" received already an interview invitation?

Got approved on August 26th and still waiting on Ciudad Juarez, Mexico consulate for an interview appointment.

What about all of you?

If you were only DQ’ed in August it’s too early to be expecting an IL. Even the quickest consulates are 3 months or so, and CJ has a fairly hefty backlog I think. Might be worth searching timelines to find other cases and see what the wait’s like at the moment but I think it’s about a year.

Good luck.

2 years?

I-130 Petition submitted through USCIS.

Question: How soon does it take to get the whole case approved and get a VISA usually?

For what kind of case? If an immediate relative then as @Boiler said, normally 2 years, but if you're applying via Pakistan then probably longer as they have a big backlog there.

Expedited? That's far quicker than even the quickest consulates like London, Dublin, Frankfurt etc, and most recent threads show a year or so for an interview at CJ!

Nope! Not an expedited request. Regular old processing.

Early December.

OK, so about the same as the quick consulates. That's good news, means the backlog must have been cleared and CJ is no longer a super slow consulate!

Hope it goes well for your mother, good luck.

DQ since September and still waiting for the interview date for Lagos, Nigeria. I was told that depends on the consulate and backlog on how quickly they can secure an interview date.

Lagos has one of the worst backlogs unfortunately.
