Didn’t send Letter of Intent to marry

I’ll definitely. Me and my fiancé already talked about it, and we said we’re going to do the rest of the process, if hopefully we get approved,  by ourselves with the help of this site, which I can see it’s incredibly helpful. 
 

And, I do agree with you. Lawyers do love making mistakes only to get paid more, but we thought this guy was going to be different.

There was advice an ISO who did an AMA last year on reddit who advised otherwise. Hence I will always advise sending unsolicited evidence despite what USCIS says.

Great, I didn’t know this. I’m sorry. We already did exactly as you told us, and are sending the letters tomorrow. Hopefully, it’ll work!

No one has brought this up yet, but it's important that your arrangements be as flexible as possible.  We've seen innumerable threads here with variations of, "Our wedding is next month and we don't have a date for our visa interview yet!" and "We booked our venue 14 months out but our petition hasn't even been approved yet!"

 

Delays do occur at any given stage of the process:  petition approval (including RFEs), availability of visa interviews, 221g or worse at the consular phase, travel challenges, and personal issues.

Yes, thank you so much. We appreciate it. We have explained the vendors our situation, and are actually  getting those who are more flexible with the dates.

I am one who sent additional documents (a final foreign divorce decree absolute, which we did not have at the time of filing) directly to the Laguna Niguel address, several months after filing the petition.   It did make its way to our file, and was included.  No RFE.   YMMV.

Good luck!  Make sure to include a copy of your NOA1, and a simple cover letter referencing your case number and stating that you inadvertently omitted the enclosed letters of intent to marry.

Do this.  Also, keep duplicate original copies of letters of intent, just in case tomorrow's mailing doesn't match up with your file and you get an RFE later.

Hey everybody 👋🏽 We ended up sending the letters of intent AS SOON as you told us to, and we think they got them as we got our NOA2, and not RFE! 🤩 Thank you all! 🙏🏼
